The Manchester City Centre Crime Prevention Panel created and funded the GMP Business Watch Coordinator of the Year Award.

Named to the memory of Bill Lowe, the first GMP Business Watch Administrator for Manchester, the award is presented each year normally at the Panel’s Security seminar to an individual and a team for excellent work in support of the Police in the Manchester city centre,

The Police identify worthy businesses or individuals from the previous 12 months.

Key features are crime prevention work, Intelligence support towards the police and increasing crime awareness to both staff and customers.

This award recognises the sustained efforts of those who reach such high standards.
