Neil has been an integral member of the Manchester Crime
Prevention Panel since 2010, contributing his wealth of expertise regarding
security systems to the panel. Upon leaving school he completed an apprenticeship
in the electrical contracting industry, where he received his city and guilds certificates. After
the completion of his apprenticeship he opted for an occupational change and
began his new career within the security industry in 1981, receiving his city and guilds
certificates in Intruder Alarm Installation. After 15 years as an installation
and maintenance engineer he progressed into the sales department in 1996 and
was ultimately promoted to Key Account Manager in 2008. Having 35 years of
consecutive service with Chubb Fire & Security, and over 40 years of experience of
all aspects of Electronic Security Systems, he is able to provide expert
insights in his field to the panel. Notable works completed to improve
Manchester’s security include overseeing all key accounts for Chubb Manchester,
and over 10 years of service provided to Greater Manchester Police through
managing their account, in which time he contributed to the design of security
systems utilised in the new modern Police buildings around Greater Manchester.
